I still have a Richards laminate stock to inlet. Zastava mini mauser action. 6.5 Grendel. Hart 24" fluted barrel with muzzle brake Ceracoat. Hornady groups better than the Wolf. Haven't reloaded for it yet. with the Nikon 5-20 tested with a spare scope.

Very nice. I like those mini Mauser actions. Should be a fun rifle. Good job.

I d my 6.5 Grendel - Max on a mini mauser and am very pleased with it. I moved the shoulder forward by .05 and seated the A Max to 2.405 COAL. Did have to lengthen the mag to get it though but it allows me to push the 123gn A Max to 2700fps from my 21in barrel. Has accounted for a number of goats etc.

Nice! How does it feed from the mag? I've got three of these actions, one of each bolt face size and if I ever get my lathe finished (so many projects and so little time) will be building rifles for each of the kids and one for myself. Big one will be a 30BR, middle is blown-out improved 30 cal version on the Grendel case, and little guy will be a .223/30 BLK switch barrel. I've been worried how smoothly a case with less taper than the original would feed.

My 7BR 21" M7 shot 120s at 2878, 130 at 2666, 139 at 2544.
Grendel is a solid hunting round to modest ranges w/good bullets/placement. If I had one it might dote on 120 BTs for hunting. 100 Barnes on closer shots at higher vel
Nice rifle, enjoy. Blast surely is mild in a 24. I like 19-21 in this class round for handling. Efficient and effective. An improved case will close the gap from the 6.5G and a BR version.

I've been worried how smoothly a case with less taper than the original would feed. Like many mini mausers the short bridge means that feeding the first one from the magazine can sometimes hang up but the simple expedient of using my thumb on the rear of the bolt for the first feed means I no longer have any problems. From the left is the 7.62x39, the same simple necked to 6.5, the 6.5 Grendel, My 6.5 Grendel-Max loaded to the 2.405 I can load from the magazine and the same case with y 127gn cast bullet at that runs at 2300fps with good 150-200yd hunting accuracy.
