Whilst at the local funstore today, I noticed they had a Ruger American Predator in 6.5 Creedmoor in the racks. I know there was a fella here that was looking for one, can't recall whom it was though. Price was $399. Scheels Allsports, Fargo ND.

I also found a box (1) of 75gr Amaxs on the shelf - been a while since I've seen those.

Forgot to mention the Kimber Adirondak in 7mm-o8 - Wow! What a tiny, tiny thing....

How'd that Adirondack feel. Looks like a neat little gun. Price?

I checked the Adirondak out last weekend. IIRC, they wanted $1649. Handy little rifle. Nice and light. Maybe a bit too short a tube for my liking.

I handled an Adirondack in 7mm-08 earlier today at the local gun shop. Didn't really care for the 18" barrel, but that's just me.

I also handled a Select Grade 257 Roberts with really nice walnut stock. Both were about the same price $1600.

The 257 Roberts felt really good. Better balance.

the Adirondack is a most interesting carbine ... but perhaps too much of a good thing.

Price was $1650. I really liked the feel of the stock in my hands. That said, the rifle felt odd, partly due to the extreme light weight, partly due to the comb. I felt I'd have a hard time mounting a scope low to the bore. Also the bolt handle felt weird to my hand and the action was not very smooth. It would definitely need some slicking up prior to serious use.
