The 12.7x99 (aka 50 BMG)obviously, because it was designed by John M. Browning and besides it's much more efficient than the longer 12.7x108. You can also use a lighter shorter action and save a bunch of weight. wink

The .50 BMG, obviously. Lots of azzholes tried to shoot me with the Rooskie version. Didn't work out well for them. I will give them a 9.8 for special effects though. They look like basket balls inbound. They also over penetrate.

Unless you make the mistake of thinking pronghorns are antelopes which they are not the 50 BMG is used less in antelope country than the 12.7x108. Folks who use them have made their choice.

In the Middle East antelope country (Oryx is not just a trademarked bullet) the 12.7x108 on Toyota 4X pickup trucks is a choice rig. Same in Tibet. See e.g.
Quote
Kekexili: Mountain Patrol is the sophomore effort of Chinese director Chuan Lu. This film is, in effect, a Western shot in the steppes of Tibet. Only instead of trying to save the ranch, the heroes are trying to preserve the Tibetan antelope in the face of poachers. Shot documentary style, this film is a fictional narrative set against a backdrop of actual events.
National Geographic level scenery.

If the 12.7x108 didn't exist I don't doubt the 50 BMG would work but the 12.7x108 is in line with today's bigger is better and shots at ever longer ranges are fashionable craze.

I vote for the 14.5x114mm KPV HMG round!! B-32 - Armor-piercing incendiary full metal jacket round with a tungsten-carbide core. Projectile weight is 64.4 g and muzzle velocity is 976 m/s. Armour penetration at 500 m is 32 mm of rolled homogeneous armour (RHA) at 0 degrees.
BZT - Armor-piercing incendiary tracer full metal jacket round with a steel core. Projectile weight is 59.56 g and muzzle velocity is 1,005 m/s. Tracer burns to at least 2,000 m.
MDZ - High-explosive incendiary bullet of instant action. Projectile weight is 59.68 g.
Rounds are also produced by Bulgaria, China, Egypt, Poland, and Romania.

While the 14.5x114 is a good 'lope round, the commie bullet selection hinders it. The KVP B-32 tends to over penetrate per some members here. I like my 'lope med rare and the BZT can cause the meat to over cook. And worst of all, the MDZ can damage the 'straps if ya use the high shoulder shot. Just a plain old cup n core is needed! smile

I wish to phuoc boys would stop puzzyfooting around. If yer gonna screw around with work-a-day junk, at least get something with some snap.

23152mm

OTOH, if you want to show some class:

L/70 40364mmR

Notice please this is a RIMMED case. It's range is beyond 12,000 meters. MV 3350 fps. It is loaded in America.

It will kill goats.

.50 BMG obviously, inches is always better than millimeters. Just don't try to shoot the blue ones. (Blue tape anyone? grin )

At 200 yards, I'll go with the 12.7X108; it has sure fire knock-down power. Elmer Keith (IIRC) poo-pawed the 50BMG at 200 yards as not being enough, and, that's good enough for me! smile

Is this a serious question? It won't make any difference at 200 yards.

In the interest of technical accuracy, I must inform you that the photo is actually an illustration of the 40mm L/56 40x311mmR cartridge. It's muzzle velocity is only 2800 FPS.

The 40mm L/70 40x364mmR cartridge at 3350 FPS would SURELY overpenetrate.
