Hey gang! One of my buds brought some neat pics of a gun he was given, need some help calculating value! SORRY, NO PICS!

Gun is a 581-S, and is so-marked. It is installed in a 541-S stock, and as there is a slight difference in the diameter of the barrel, so the action is glass-bedded into the stock. It is an easy 95-98%....guy did a fine job! Any idea of the rough value of this?

$300-$400 tops. Numrich used to sell 541 stocks for $80 if I remember correctly. Figure a decent 581-S is in the $300 range.

In that kind of shape and if he has a 5 round mag for it I might be tempted to go $300.00 if you know it to be a proven shooter. 541-S's generally are. If all he has is the 10 round mag I wouldn't go over $250.00. Just my personal limits. YMMV.

I have a 541 stock sitting here for mine whenever I get around to messing with it. Numrich had some a few months ago. I think I got one of the last few. The last batch they had weren't new but most weren't to bad. Much nicer than the broken ill repaired stock it had.
