Has anyone had any issues with the screws that came with their Talley lightweights? I was inspecting one of my 260s this week and found that the head of two screws had sheared off. These were the screws for the top half of the ring not the base screws. They were also on the same side of the same ring. I use a Wheeler tool and limit my torque to 15-20"lbs for these screws. First time i have ever had this happen and ordered some SS screws to replace all of the factory screws.
just curious if i am the exception?

You are not the exception. Call Talley and they will confirm that there was a run of bad screws.

I've only had one screw ever shear off, and that was because the rifle took a very hard fall.
If you're fixin' to put a hole in something,
make it a hole to remember.

Can't remember shearing screws, however have popped some top rings.

Mine has taken some wicked hard falls with no problems... Call or email Talley they will take care of you.

I had one come with the bottom half not tapped on one and another with screws that had NO threads! They immediately shipped me the replacements.
