A Leupie 2.5x will work great.
An older Burris straight tube Mini in 4x would also.

Some good suggestions, but you aren't going to get AO short if the 3-9 AO Ultralight, or a 6x42 AO. As 3-9s go, it is trim. I wouldn't be without at least one of them.
I have a thirty something Burris Mini-4X PA (AO), but they have been out of print for a while. You might find one used, but they are not very bright. Leupold will set your parallax where you want it for a very nominal charge.
Best wishes,
Jack

A Weaver 2-7 rimfire would be a good choice.

I went with a new VX1 2-7x28 after comparing it side by side to a VX2 2-7x28 that was over $100 more. So far I really like it on my little 10/22 deluxe carbine. It seems a perfect match...

My 1959 Brno 581 has a Leupold 4x compact in low mounts. Works great. I don't need nor want an adjustable AO scope on this beautiful little auto .22. My suggestion is a Leupold FX-1 4x28 Rimfire scope which is even shorter than the compact.

I'm not the biggest leupold fan but I have a 2-7x28 rimfire on a browning bl22 and like it a lot. It is sized just rite for the small frame

Looks like a well matched combo. The bottom picture makes the rear mount look like it is too far back. It the rear mount getting full contact with the base? It's likely just the picture and my eyes, but slide that mount forward if it isn't getting full contact.
