I forgot to add that this rifle fails to eject about 50% of the time if you leave the mag full.

You do anything to that rifle at all? Or are you gonna? Shroud? Lug?, etc?

Yes, in another thread, but if you look carefully below you'll see one of it up a tree few weeks ago. Gonna drag my ailing azz out tomorrow p.m. & try to ventilate a Venado wit it...praying to the Solunars.

No. It is bone stock. I would not put an extra penny toward a Tikka.

But that's just me.

If anybody is curious...

Two flaws on this CTR.

1.) Working the bolt hard and fast (the only way to roll) results in the case hitting the turret of the scope and bouncing back inside the ejection port.

2.) Don't let the mag get dirty. At all. Like, not even a little.

I have one coming in 260 and am looking forward to trying it out. Gonna sling some 123's and see what the fuss is all about. Lol

Flave: does the mag not want to feed dirty or what is the issue?

Yeah. The cases get hung up and confused looking if they have any dirt on them.

I find it to be more than a little annoying.

If I knew how to speak French, I'd cuss it out in its native language.

But on another note... This thing truly is ridiculously accurate.

Inch groups @ the 300 last Friday and I'm not exaggerating. Clay pigeons @ the 500 are pretty simple.

And I did no load development at all.

I'm anxious to get mine in. As soon as the can get out of jail the real fun will start. Till then, muffs it is.

They all seem t suffer from the same accuracy issues Flave. They don't allow for load tinkering at all.... I have thought about one in 308 to go along with the 260. When you tire of yours...look me up.

I was confirming drops with the sub-sonics on Friday as well.

The 1-11" is a little marginal with the 190's. Accuracy was still good to 250yds but you could tell some of them were a bit wobbly when hitting the paper...

Doesn't AICS make bottom metal and mags for that thing? Probably not cheap.

Even if they did, I wouldn't buy it.

$950 dollars on a fuggin' Tikka is sort of pushing the boundaries of sanity IMO.
