He's anal about making sure everything is right and this one shoots tiny groups and functions perfectly. The trigger spring has also been upgraded to a lighter pull wt ernie the gunsmith spring. It breaks clean and smooth with no creep at 2 3/8 pounds. Is that this years elk?? How about a story, Hi Brucie. I was in Pittsburgh a couple months ago. My dad's family (brothers and sister) lives there. I watched a Pirates game at PNC park. What a beautiful place! Not much of an elk story, but I started a thread on the Winchester collector forum and this is the rifle I finally got to use on a bull this year. It worked perfectly. The 180 grain partition made a complete pass thru and took out the bulls heart.
