I am going to buy a new stock for my rifle and I cant decide between an Edge and Standard? With a 26" barrel would the Edge fill be "front heavy"?

You could do a Classic Edge and possibly be OK. Not sure why makers insist on bastardization with 26" barrels. 257 Bee is perfect with 24" barrel.

Scott,

If it is any help, I put a Win 70 EW .270 Win in a Mc Edge Classic. I now wish I had put it in a Mc Edge Hunter. It has a small bit of palm swell, and Monte Carlo. Your going to pay the same price, and it is just a few ounces heavier if you get it in Edge Tech. You live in TX, and that caliber was made for different area codes, I think you would like the Hunter design if Mc makes it for a Rem 700. I assume your going to equip it with a large objective scope. If that is the case, the Monte Carlo would be nice. With a Classic and large diameter scope, you may have a scope that is too high for your cheek weld. Just something to think about. Good day
