Be careful you don't miss. A stray .358 bullet could easily hit Minnesota and deflate it.
Good luck! That looks like a place I would like to be.

No scrub Popple there. That's all birch. And, no worries about Minnesota....it's about 5 hours to the west. Although, sometimes I see a harsh glare coming from the west in the morning. I believe it's the sun reflecting off Gary G's head!

Wishing you luck Brian. Sad to miss the Wisconsin opener this year. Talked on the phone to the guys at my shack Friday night. They say that there's the right amount of snow and plenty on the game cams. Life goes on. Good luck to all you Wisconsin hunters.

Kinda quiet out of the WI guys. ?? Day 1 - generally above freezing temps, overcast and fog. Not ideal but dry anyway. Day 2 - temps in 40's, more overcast, fog and rain. Not good conditions at all. Day 3am - still overcast and moist, 6" snow blowing in from west today. Long way to go yet....

Good luck to all of you! 6" is a lot, but hopefully you don't have far to go to your hunting area and you probably have the snowmobiles/etc to cope well with it.

West side of the state report:
Sat-good day to hunt. Good snow cover. Didn't see (manure)!
Sun-rainy and too warm, no snow cover (all melted overnight). Didn't see (manure)!
Mon-Don't think my car will make it out with 3-6" of snow coming. Haven't been out yet, so far haven't seen (manure).

Bad news is I didn't get there this year. Good news is that BIL scored a fork 8:00 AM opening day up near Brule.
