VX-2 2-7x33 or VX-1 2-7x33 Yep. I like the Redfield Revolution version also. Very forgiving little scopes.
Now with even more aplomb

I have a 4x on my 358. I'd not go bigger than a 2x7 and that would be a Leupold or Redfield.
A high power scope on a light handy rifle is an abomination, IMO.
I prefer classic.

...bottom line is i want a good eye relief and a crystal clear picture at all powers. and my budget is pretty limited to $300 or less.
any ideas? I liked the Redfield 2-7...the Leupold FX 2-3 are very clear at all power settings.
It ain't all burritos and strippers my friends...

When I had my Ruger RCM I had a Redfield Revolution 2-7 on it and it was perfect. Its size complimented the short action and 19 inch barrel perfectly.

Without any question, the scope that you will enjoy the most once mounted and used will be the Leupie 4x like noKnees has on his. Start there; you'll end there anyway.
