Guys, the 5 inch LB P II with the 1.5 option arrived the other day and I just open the box a few minutes ago. I believe the sights and I are going get along just fine however the trigger right out of the box was creepy and slightly rough and a far cry from my Colt/Jim Clark 1970s era Bullseye wad gun which is to be expected.
After the requisite break in period I'll reassess my opinion on the trigger but after that time I'll be shooting wadcutters exclusively. This thing will NOT be a safe queen. It's gonna get shot !! Honestly bought the darn thing as a plinker because finding 22lr ammo is a pain in the ass. I'll put up a pic in a day or two.
BTW, I've been drooling all over VZ grips but the Baers feel pretty darn nice. I'm diggin' the flat bottom grips without any pin cutouts. This is the way they should be. JMHO Front strap feels pretty darn nice as well. We're gonna be good friends !!!!

Congrats, I like my Super Tac, but would like to add one of the 1.5" guns someday.
I'll be curious to hear how yours works with mild target loads. Mine works fine with full-spec ball loads, and +P defensive loads. It's a bit fussy, though, with under-powered loads.

Have you tried changing the recoil spring and the mainspring for your light loads ?
Maybe bump up your light loads slightly before a spring change.

the trigger right out of the box was creepy and slightly rough So was mine. After 500-600 rounds, it's smoothed out nicely.

Have 1K of Federal 230gr. ball to run through it as per LB customer service. Darn gun got here just in time for it to start snowing.

I just ran the 500'th round through my PII this morning, all 200 grain LSWC with 4.4 grains WST. The trigger has smoothed out nicely. The gun runs fine with that fairly light load. I suspect you will like it a lot.

Thanks Wayne. Stock springs ?
I have 10-11 pounds of Bullseye and several thousand 200 LSWC but WST & 231 are absent from my internet searches.
Will run some of that lead after 500 or so of 230 grain ball.
This gun and I will be good friends I'm sure
