Can you cut down the fluted barrel to 22"? How much weight would it reduce? I would like to have a rifle similar to the Remington model seven XCR for hunting and target. Any other suggestions to accomplish this?

Sell it and buy an XCR.... Shame to butcher a good SS fluted vermin....

W The XCR Model Seven is about $1200 IF you can find one.... which inext to impossible!!!
