Value of like new Sig 1911-22 in FDE with box?

Opinions of $300-$400 options? Sig? GSG? Colt import?

Thanks in advance!
Dave

Same pistol as the GSG, GSE? German made. New they go for about $350 to $400 in my parts. Metal frame and slide are a kind of pot metal, vice real steel. Not a bad pistol, somewhat ammo sensitive. Colt is made by Walther I believe, about the same thing. The Browning 1911 22LR clone is a much different pistol.

The Browning appears to be the best but smallish....

i have the colt (walther) gold cup. it is a nice little gun and accurate. no FTF's yet with multiple ammo. those little brownings are neat but about $100 more.

I bought one of the Sig 1911-22 last spring and it has become my favorite 22 pistol. I am a rifleman not a pistol shooter but I can shoot it better than any pistol I have ever owned. It has been 100% reliable no matter what ammo I run through it. It doesn't care if it is hyper velocity or standard velocity (subsonic).

I got it at Cabelas on a sale special, it has a hard case, synthetic holster (Blackhawk style), and 2 magazines. It was right at $300.00 + tax of course. Best money I have spent on a pistol.

I did some hard looking, handling and on-line research in comparing it with the Colt and Browning and the Sig came out on top for me. If there is downside to it that would be that it weights the same as a full sized steel frame 1911 and is tiresome to carry for extended periods.

Thanks Drover! I am a rifleman in the same respect. Only recently got into handguns (53yro) I have never been good with one being cross eye dominant but with WA law changing I bought 3 9mm's.....Sig 2022, Glock 19 and a Beretta 90-two. For whatever reason my ability has been better than in my youth. Prolly due to now having quality equipment...
When I saw 1911 in .22 I thought I had too have one.

Local fellow has a LNIB Sig in FDE for $300. Not great but not bad.

CDNN has those GSGs for like $250 I believe. For the money I figured I would try one out but haven't pulled the trigger on one yet.

The Browning is a great choice. Never jams and is quite accurate

Wear safety glasses each and every time. There is a law suit pending in Florida involving a young man who had a Chiappa 1911 style pistol that was not functioning correctly. The pistol fired, shards of brass and possibly parts of the metal of the pistol came back and hit him in the eye. There is a possibility of lack of proper care for the injury at the hospital. But the end result is he has lost the use of his eye. Let's be safe out there. Anyone with questions about what I have written is free to contact me. DavidValdinahotmail.com

Right you are!

Even if nothing happens to your gun, the guy next to you might have a problem. I was once hit by a piece of an extractor from a P14 that blew several benches over. It hit my arm, but coulda hit any place.

Some bozo will see that picture of a boy shooting a handgun and call Child Services, who, after a lengthy investigation conclude that the child has horrible parents, but they are within their rights to let the boy shoot; but wait! No eye protection!

Next stop: Foster Care.

Ruger 22/45, in this case, my Lite. Not an exact replica of the 1911, but the operating controls are remarkably similar.

I have a GSG-1911 NIB...Had it for a couple years..never fired it.

Guess I need to send it down the road..

I did research them, and at the time I bought mine they were rated very solid and accurate.

Nice alternative to plinking with a full size 1911 platform, for less $$$ than .45ACP.

Dave
