I love how the lady referenced in the OP states that she is thankfully surrounded by "fellow progressives who also strive for racial equality."
If Michael Brown was white or Darren Wilson was black, I never would have heard about it up here in MN. So much for wanting equal treatment.....

the politics and events of the last 6 years have set race relations back 50 years in the minds of black people. whites are slowly getting their views reset even further. like maybe to the 20's. if this continues, urban areas are doomed. i know its real obvious to this audience, but blacks in this country are really, really f'd if this continues. i don't know why the various black leadership can't see that their brand of racially divided politics just isn't going to work because they are de-powering their people rather than empowering them.

They do. Empowered people, regardless of color, don't need to vote to ensure their .gov paycheck keeps rolling in. It's called buying votes. It's very effective, and it's a lot more "racist" than disapproving of looting and rioting.
