Roosters 1 and 4 did not fare very well. The rest of them, up through Rooster 9, got away by flying at the perfect time to the perfect place. Nice little hunt. Saw a bunch. So rooster 7 is still out there but tomorrow.....?

Muzzle-loader season is on. I had to go to the circus today with mini-me, but tomorrow at zero-dark-thirty, I will be out in the zero-degree, windy weather waiting for Doezilla to walk on by.

With my luck, I will see Buckzilla, since I already used my buck tag this year.

I hated it too, but the little guy loved it. I especially liked my wife wondering why I went through the line with the hot young lady who I knew would never really frisk me when I went through the entrance while holding my son's hand.

(Hint: it holds seven rounds and was on my waist)

Well this is no joke...I shot Rooster #7 yesterday. Kinda a wimpy little the thing to be honest with ya.

Good luck smokepolers! My brother used my bow to shoot a small doe last night. We found it this morning. Nice eating critter. He has well over 100 hours in a tree stand this year and just decided to be done. Wish he could have got a nice buck though.

BM, I could have picked you up a couple more on the way home from up north yesterday. The were huddled up in the tall grass along 35s. They weren't hiding from much, tho it looked like they thought they might be. smile It was pretty funny. Two beautiful long tailed roosters 4' off the shoulder.

No, but my wife was giving me the stink eye when I pulled my son over to her line until she realized why.

Plus, it was a little gun, so that would have been embarrassing.....

Nah, a Smith and Wesson Shield. It shoots almost as well for me as my 20+ year old G17 at half the size, and is as easy to carry as my old J-frame was.

Most of the nurses I take shooting LOVE that thing when they move up from a .22. That and my 4" GP100 loaded with .38's instead of .357 mags.

Goalie,
I carry a Shield 40 every day. GREAT pistols. I knew you were a man of discriminating taste.

I just googled the Shield. They look like a very nice daily carry weapon.
