Been shooting a max load of cfe223 behind the 130 and getting 3175 ish out of a Montana. If I do my part, it'll put them into 3/4". Shot 1deer with it so far. In behind the shoulder out through the flank. The deer died, so I'm happy with it so far. Gotta call BS on this. The existence of CFE223 is an Internet rumor. I found a pound at a small gun shop about 6 months ago, and this 308 is the only thing I've tried it in. The cost of the Barnes bullets should help it last awhile. It shot the 150s great with variety, but I couldn't, t find a varget/130 load it liked.

How is it on game other than deer. Anyone have experience on elk or bear? I took a nice sized cow elk with my 308 this year and the 130 TTSX. Broadside shot at about 30 yds behind the shoulder; naturally it exited. Hand loaded with RL 15 at 3050. I used the 150 TTSX prior and it worked too but I wanted more speed. I think of the 130 ttsx combined with the 308 Win as a short action 270.

I knew that would draw some catcalls.

Yup, I stepped right in it with that comment.
Is the 270 still gay with a 110 TTSX at 3200 fps?

How Farr off the lands are y'all running these? Thinking about using these or the 110's in a 20" Venture rifle for my niece.

Magazine length. I don't find the tsx/ttsx picky regarding a bit of jump.

Trying to load some 130 TTSX in W-W brand .308 brass and Varget. Barnes shows 52 gr as a max load, but I struggle to even get 50 gr into the case. I guess I'll try TAC.

A max load of TAC will not be a problem. TAC is some good stuff. I now use it in my .350 Rem Mag, .223 and .308. If you use a powder measure it flows like little glass beads.

Lots of people use that combo. I loaded it for my dad and he got about 3,000fps with TAC and a 20" barreled 700. Killed stuff dead without shooting up a lot of meat. If not sweating wind out past 300yds, it is a neat way to go in the 308. +1... not a long range bullet in 308 but i would say inside 200-250 it works well... Ive killed around 8 with the combo and theyve all been inside of 150 yards, always got two holes and some were DRT and some ran 20-30 yards...i like it drilling shoulders

Shot a very large-bodied whitetail buck at 435 with it (as mentioned above). It worked great. It is as good at longer ranges as it is at short, at least down to whatever velocity it would stop opening well (probably past 500 yards).

Yep, been using them with 4895 for a couple of years. Great results. Dropped back to the 110 this year. I do reduced recoil loads with TSX 130's and 4895. Great accuracy from 37gr to full boat. It will be my goto for a long time.

Those are exactly the exits that I got with the 7 deer I shot with them. Very dependable and lots of "air in, blood out."
