Hi everybody! New to the forum. I recently aquired a Model 94, vintage 1951/52. There is a swivel stud on the butt stock and a swivel attached to the magazine, I believe it is a Judds barrel band swivel. My question is, was this a standard option or was this done by the owner? I have seen pictures of other 94s with the swivels, but unsure....

Thanks....

I'm betting it's an add on.

But congrats on the new addition! Still a great catch!

Would agree it's probably aftermarket, but a common addition. Congrats on your '94! You know they're like tater chips, ya can't have just one.

Thx guys, thats what I was thinking..... Same time I picked up a 1932 Model 64. Both in 32 WS. The 64 is a bit rough but has a nice Lyman tang sight...

Said this before, when someone mentions "deer rifle" to me the first thing that pops into my head is Model 64!

Enjoy your new additions!!!

If I could fine a reasonably shaped model 64 at a good price I'd be happy to take it deer hunting. They are the nicest looking lever action, to my eyes. Haven't run into one at a price I can afford, yet!

Didn't we have a" show your model 64" thread a while back???

If not, we need one. Don't have time to start one now. Gotta go to town.

Thats what we all look for! Unfortunatly it's one or the other.

My LGS has this one for $895.

The blue looks pretty nice, don't think it was carried alot. Looks like that scope base used the original D&T holes in the receiver. The front hole needs a special screw to fill but I think they'd be pretty easy to come up with. Use the back two to mount a Williams or Lyman aperture sight and you'd have a pretty slick woods rifle.
