A friend is looking for a decent .30-06. Stainless would be nice but budget type rifle ( Rem Adl or push feed Winchester)ok too if decent price. Please pm me your options. This will be a do all Alaskan rifle so open sights are a plus, with scoping options. Stock condition is not primary concern, solid, functional, economical is desired.
Thanks

I have a commercial Mauser in 30-06. Looks like stainless but is actually nickel plated. I was told its an Interarms Mark X but doe sent look exactly like my other Mark X. It is a very smooth functioning action. Has a nicely fitting and shouldering composite stock of unknown origin. This would make someone a nice, dependable, economical hunting rifle.

Buy one of the Dumolin (sp) actions from Sarco and screw on one of their 30-06 barrels, and put it in a decent plastic stock.

Going to be in Anchorage any time soon?

I have a very nice Win 70 Classic, stainless, glass bedded/floated in a BC stock. Lugs lapped and barrel crowned by a local smith several years ago. Very little shot, excellent shape. 3x9 VX-2 mounted on Talley rings.
