Yes. Although I haven't tried them all, I have owned English made BSA & Webley and German made RWS & Weihrauch. The Weihrauch HW50S I bought last summer has the Record trigger and is far and away the best I've ever used on an spring airgun. The gun is a real pleasure to shoot. The Chinese Crosman I have couldn't be termed a "trigger". More like a lever you force to the rear to make the thing fire.

The fine triggers on the high end air rifles are a large factor in what makes them "high end".

+1 The trigger on my R9 was worth the price difference from the RWS M-34. I should have bought the Beeman to begin with. FWIW the M-34 trigger is much better than any Gamo I ever tried - I don't know how anyone could shoot one of those accurately.

True "High end" air rifles have triggers that are every bit as good, if not much, much better, than those found on powder burner rifles costing the same or much more.

You just cannot find a demonstrably better trigger than the one on my FWB 300s 10m match rifle. The one on my Anschutz .22 LR target rifle doesn't break as nicely.

As for medium priced rifles:

With 15 minutes of work and about $1 for some nylon washers, the trigger on my $325 refurbished Marauder has just a barely perceptible hint of creep, and breaks at just over a pound. As it's a two stage trigger, it's still manages to be safe at this trigger weight. I could spend some time and see if I could get rid of the creep. But for a plinker - why bother?

The trigger on my Diana 48 is much heavier than the above two rifles. Breaking at about 4 pounds. As was sent from the factory. No creep...

Depends on what you intend to shoot and how much you want to spend. The .22 cal HW50S I have shoots around 6oofps depending on pellet weight. It would do for critters up to squirrels pretty well and woodchucks with headshots. Airguns of Arizona has them for $369 shipped. You can move up in power to the HW95 that makes 750 fps in .22 for $405 shipped. These both have the Record trigger that will make you smile. WEIHRAUCH makes many different airguns and you can spend much more than those two if you feel the need.

That nw 95 might fit the bill if it has a decent trigger like you say. I live it country but close to the highway and need somthing to shoot an ocational possem that is raiding the wife's bird feeders. And other various vermin.. I would rather use the swift but that isn't an option around the house..
Thanks for the link ill check it out.

I kinda like that hw 97k. Kinda spendy bit might be worth it.
Which cal I'm thinking the 20 might have better results on bigger stuff..
Is that thing still made in Germany?

.20 is a good caliber however pellets choices aren't as plentiful and usually mail order only. The advantage of the .177 & .22 is that almost anyone that carries pellets will have some. For your use, either .20 or .22 would be my choice. The HW97 looks nice, I have no experience with it but it does have the Record trigger. BTW, Weihrauch make several of the Beeman rifles, the R1, R7, R9 (same as the HW95), R11, RX-2 & HW97. Pyramyd Air carries them as well as some of the Weihrauch models.

I have a 97K and it's a real good rifle. Accurate, good trigger and nice finish. I also have a Gamo bottom cocker with a "Tuna" trigger that is really better than the 97K trigger. I'm not trying to compare guns here. Only the triggers.

+1 on the 'Tuna' triggers. replaced the cheapo one on my benjamin npxl and it was night and day difference. very predictable and takes all of 5 minutes to put in.

Installed a CharlieDaTuna GRT-4G trigger on a Gamo Silent Cat that my boys gave me for Christmas. At first I thought it was a decent improvement. After fiddling with the adjustment the only thing I can say is WOW! This trigger is absolutely amazing! Best $36 I've spent in a long time... even if the Gamo's accuacy is still so-so.
