Guys, I'm looking to replace the express (iron) sights on my recent manufacture M70 safari express. I'd really like to replace the factory rear sight with a shallow-v type with the vertical white , similar to a cz 550, but not multiple blades. Do any of you know if these are offered as an aftermarket item for my rifle, or can you recommend a custom gunsmith that can do something like this?

Thanks in advance!

Jim Wisner makes a dandy. A remake of the pre-64 M70 Express. Here is one on my 416.

Go to New England Custom Guns website, and click on the "Special Items" and then select "Toy Chest." There numerous rear blades like you're wanting that will fit right into the rear base that you currently have (which was also sourced to FN by NECG, as I understand it).

You can also replace the front bead with one of their oversized versions here.

I just got my NECG sights today. They're going on a 585 HE; a modern-day 577 T-Rex.

The implications, from gunner's generous offer of copious quantities of pain medicine, leads one to believe that gun's gotta be some kinda BAD... shocked

NECG carries small sample of what t...sights for many modern rifles come from.

The single screw attachment of the rear steered me elsewhere. Given my experience, I would dump the single screw front sight for a banded one as well. Base supported and with a light tap of the blade landed the base/blade combo on the floor. A Wisner banded front replaced that mess as well. I have had the bolt handle tig'ed to the bolt body as well. This in prep for a few buff hunts planned.
