That is not exactly true but those poor folks being held would have a lot better chance of seeing another birthday if they were all carrying right now. Isn't it pretty mucha cold day in hell when a law abiding citizen can carry a handgun in Oz?

This is on Sky News That really doesn't surprise me. By and large, Australians are good people, and they won't want their country hijacked by extremists of any sort.. That said, don't confuse that idealism with being soft, that would be a big mistake..Most Australians I have met are very tolerant, up to a point, but you would not want to push them past that point..

I pray all the innocent folks will be safe. They won't be. That's not how these folks play and everyone knows it. Not much doubt you are right but I have to try. And yes, it will be here soon. In fact I am more than a little shocked it is not happening all over the US right now. One of the many reasons I am armed even as I sit in my bedroom writing this. We will leave here for the farm in the morning and won't be back for a week. My 1911 will not be out of my reach any of that time. We're heading in your direction this weekend. We'll spend a week in OR and WA. Neither state will accept my Idaho CCP. I guess I'm too dangerous to be safe.

This needs to stop. You can carry in your home state you should be able to carry in all fifty states. Washing non resident is easy, Oregon is not but it can be done.
