Probably around $230-$250 shipped. There's a lot of love hate with heavy duplex. Unless you've run variables in the past, you might wanna stash it, just in case.

F'n love those scopes. What's the date code?

Where's the date code?

I just love 3-9s or 4-12s fixed powers just don't fit my style of hunting

date code is the SN.

Need to know the letter and whether it's a prefix or suffix.

Every Leupold scope produced since 1974 will have a letter included in the serial number acting as a date-code. Scopes using a letter as a prefix (the beginning of the serial number) were produced between 1974 and 1992. Scopes using a letter as a suffix (the end of the serial number) have been produced after 1992. On the chart below, you will notice the letters “I,” “O,” and “Q” have been omitted as they are easily mistaken for “1,” “0,” and “0” respectively.

Prefix Suffix
E = 1974 A = 1993
F = 1975 B = 1994
G = 1976 C = 1995
H = 1977 D = 1996
J = 1978 E = 1997
K = 1979 F = 1998
L = 1980 G = 1999
M = 1981 H = 2000
N = 1982 J = 2001
P = 1983 K = 2002
R = 1984 L = 2003
S = 1985 M = 2004
T = 1986 N = 2005
U = 1987 P = 2006
V = 1988 R = 2007
W = 1989

So it has the MC4 coating. That's preferred over the earlier ones. Any scratches on the lenses or ring marks?

You'll need to take it off your rifle, take pics, and give 16bore first shot at it.

16 Bore has 2 spares and hate relationship with chubby reticules. 257heaven needs it for his Faux 260. Might as well ship it straight to Leupold for a M1 and save him the trouble...

LOL. I have a spare FX3 HD in the safe........but when Redneck gets the 35 Whelen built, the 6x42 will ride on top of it.

Forgive me for barging in on the conversation but the trade proposed by Higbean would be very much like for like if you are looking for a variable.

Nate40,

I sent you a pm. If you want pics or anything let me know. It's a matte, duplex from 2001. It's in good shape but has a few little dings. Let me know either way.
