I have a 8 month old FN SLP with a 22" rifled cantilever slug barrel with factory rifle sights also. I have the box and everything that it was shipped with. Barrel has also been pinned to the receiver to help with accuracy. Do the sights work with the scope removed? they look lower than the cantilever mount.
Is the barrel non removeable since it was pinned?

That is nice. Did pinning the barrel produce any results? It did help accuracy some but the big improvement was poi was spot on with a variety of slugs as long as the speeds were close.

Is the barrel non removeable since it was pinned? Yes the sights work with the optics removed. It's actually a pretty cool set up. With the rear sight flipped up you get a pretty fine sight picture. You can also flip the rear sight down and use the channel in the cantilever for close and fast. So you are correct. The sights are below the cantilever. But were designed to work that way.
