damn! It's been a few years, but Mickey had me and a couple of others over for dinner...and I had lunch with him a time or 2 here when working in Selma. Sad day! RIP Mickey.

This is terrible news. Mickey was one of the finest men on this board. He must have know what was going on from his last stay in the hospital, but he gave no hints as to how serious this was. He will be missed.

I need to modify this. I misread cancer. Below is Dorothy's email to me.
Butch, I wanted to tell you so you can hopefully tell the benchrest community that Mickey (Coleman) has passed away this morning about 7:35am. He had been sick for a couple of weeks with ulcers in esophagus-stomach and small bowel. He was so weak. I took him back to the hospital last night.
He loved all of you so much. I don't think any of you really do know how deeply he cared for all of you. If you could make sure Tony and Faye, Billy Stevens and Bart Sauter know about his passing I will appreciate it so much. Also Wilbur Harris. I am going to miss him so much.

talked to Mickey just the other day. He was not feeling well at all. I asked if he was going to be ok, and he just chuckled and said yes, but that he was not worried about a thing. I have counted Mickey as a good friend for some time now, and have enjoyed his company several times in person. I am going to miss the dang old codger............ a lot.
