Our son's high school football team played in the 3A VA state championship game this past weekend at Liberty University. Fortunately they were able to pull out a victory. My wife and I are very proud of him as he was one of only 3 sophomores to start on varsity. I took a few pictures and wanted to share them here. It is really hard to watch the game and take pictures so I was not able to take many. Our's is #77 taking the field for warmup!

Pretty good pass protection here! Victory is only seconds away!

Looking at relative stature, I'd not want to cross #77 in a dark alley. He'll likely be a force to deal with as a senior. Good shots there. Any chance one could offer up lens and exposure data. Might be helpful to those of us with similar intentions.

I shot these in AV mode(aperture priority) with my ISO set at 200. I'm still learning and have had my best pictures in AV mode. I would love a better lens but my wife says I must decide between camera equipment or guns. Right now guns are winning out. I enjoy taking these action shots but it is really hard to do and pay attention to the game at the same time. I have found the linemen are the hardest to take pictures of...especially the center and two guards. The tackles and tight ends are not quite as hard. Most of my photos have come from the stands.
