May sell my 310 NG this year.
Other than that most things are staying put.

For 2015, I have decided that I have enough rifles for any hunting I will do for the rest of my life. Blasphemy I know.......but I am going to concentrate more on handguns. Adding more to the herd, and shooting them much more in an attempt to regain some of the profiency I seem to have lost with older age.
If we live long enough, we all have regrets. But the ones that nag at us the most are the ones in which we know we had a choice.

No mojo for one. Little picky for my tastes too. It would outshoot the others, but only with specific loads. Otherwise when it came to shooting offhand, it didn't shoot any better than anything else. Especially with .431 sized commercial stuff. And I was kind of pissed right out of the gate with the size front sight it came with and having to pay another $23.00 or whatever to get a correct size height. Some things piss me off, and that is one of them. Absolutely loved the frame size. Love the round butt. Loved the accuracy potential. But not $2K worth of love. Which is fine. My buddy wanted it anyway. Travis

Classic line from the trip you said after a tirade of his that says it all: "You're opinionated, aren't you"?
Cracks me up....I can still see him grinning about it too.

Holy crap....guess I don't want it now! Seems like Smith could sell a few more of those....but not with that freakin lock. The 610's not had any handloads through it. The warmest loads were Doubletap factory loads. Interesting that I did a test with it a couple years ago, and it consistently gave the highest velocity of 4 guns, and the other 3 were all 1911's. 12 grains of Accurate #7 is a good load under 155's, that runs about 1300 fps, and is safe with non-ramped barrels.

Hey Blue, I was reading the fire arms blog earlier. There was an article about the Smiths barrels "shot gunning". I never heard of it before. Y'all might might to read that article. Link? Does "shot gunning" mean inaccuracy? I've heard horror stories about the old 9s, but have heard they fixed that with a twist change. In all the M&Ps we've been around (probably 30 or so) I've yet to see any horrible accuracy. But I'd definitely be willing to check it out.

You had me thinking about that M&P 40 for a few minutes this morning, Bluedreaux... but then I remembered my other projects and the cold hand of reason clamped itself around my wallet. I acquired several new revolvers in 2014 that simply haven't been wrung out enough, so while I'm not planning any new purchases along those lines, I'll be doing a lot of reloading and shooting to get these guns shooting as well as I want. Also, after 3 years of not shooting IDPA, I went to Thunder Ranch's revolver school last month and had so much fun I realized I have to get back into SSR competition... so I'm gonna have to re-tool my Dillon 650 for 38 Spl and crank out some ammo so I can keep my 686's fed this upcoming season. But I am in the midst of a renewed 1911 quest. I just picked up a S&W 1911SC, and I'll probably need to buy at least one more of those. Also, I've been bitten by the 460 Rowland bug and bought a conversion kit, but I don't want to put it on any of my current 1911's... so I'm going to have to buy another 1911 to put the Rowland kit on. Sucks to be me.

On Commanders, I have a early Series 80 Lwt Commander frame, that was nicely customized by someone at some point. Nice checkering on the frame, good trigger, and Colt ambi safty. But apparently when it was re-anodized they removed enough material to make the rails undersize, so it's been sloppy with three different slides I've tried on it. And not just slightly loose, which would be fine, real loose. I think I may talk to Briley, who is local, and let them install accu-rails on it, and fix a couple of other things. That would turn it into a nice carry piece. Then there is a Wiley Clapp Commander, which is real interesting, right out of the box

I am building another Mauser, this one will have a fancy maple stock, my first maple stocked rifle.
I went to the gun store today to pick up my new Ruger single six in 327 Federal, I am excited about this one, but the postal service 3 day priority is apparently taking 4+ days? Maybe it will be in tomorrow?

Doc, you really need it....It's set up right now with an FSS trigger and Dawson sights. I've got some XS and standard night sights or the original trigger too.
It's got some history to it. I bought it from BJ Norris, who said he shot it at Nationals, and I won the Ruger in the first match I shot with it. __________________

Thinking about getting into a 1911 possibly a CZ Valor if I go that route. Haven't had much experience with 1911's.
Sig 220 Stainless is another one on the list for this upcoming year if I don't go the 1911 route, maybe the elite or another higher end offering through them.

I am real sorry, but i can't get the link to work. What site was it? I'll see if I can find it. M&Ps are quite a bit different than Glocks, in that they haven't done "generations". They just make upgrades as they go and new parts get used as they run out of old. So with Glocks it's easy to say "Gen2 17s had X issue". But with M&Ps it takes more work to figure out which models, made at which time frame, had issues. It's good and bad. Glocks can have issues that run for a while without change. M&Ps get upgraded pretty often, but also get a bad reputation from older models and people don't realize that things have improved.
