I have a colt light rifle that I sent back to NULA for the stock/trigger/barrel upgrade. I've used it for a couple seasons and like it a lot. When I cycle the bolt, the brass just kind of falls out and the round being chambered pushes the spent round out the way. I haven't had a problem yet, but I'm wondering if this is how these rifles were designed to feed?

Mine ejects the same way. Ejector spring seems very weak compared to my M700's which throw empties well clear. Have an Wolff EP ejector spring on order, we'll see if that fixes it.

The Colt we have ejects just fine but I believe Melvin Forbes replaces all the springs now if you give him the go ahead. Clean it maybe lightly polish the ejector raceway ( plastic cue tip with FLITZ in a hand drill ) and then get the wolff anyway while they are available for peace of mind.

I cleaned it up, but it has been shot very little. I guess the spring is weak. Thanks for the replies.

They should "eject" the case, not simply "extract" the case. Get it fixed pronto!

I just recently bought a 270wby NULA that doesn't eject, back to Melvin's early next week.
