Top of the morning to you sir and Happy Thanksgiving as well.

This chap was interviewed on the local radio show - this happened at the city we live closest to and all work in or go to school in which is Penticton.

Anyway in the rehearsal they removed the carpet from the ice.......

Somebody didn't do that and that's the result.

He's done this about 40 times or so without incident and will likely do it again he said.

By the way, he's a bigger gentleman - used to weigh over 300 I believe he said. He plays rec hockey too so he's no stranger to skates.

Personally I was impressed that he barely missed a beat with the anthem.

Anyway sir, that's what makes a stir up here in the sleepy Okanagan. We've watched the Penticton Vees play at the Event Center many times right down where this was filmed.

Canucks survive Oilers in SO

Vancouver anthem singer Mark Donnelly had some fun at his expense before the Canucks faced off against the Edmoton Oilers in their home opener. Donnelly walked to centre ice with skates wrapped around his neck before belting out O Canada.
