Went for a shot half an hour from town Friday after work.

Troy told me it was near impossible in South Australia unless you were one of the gov't paid cullers....but kinda like here i quickly figured out that things can differ a fair bit from one state/territory to another rule wise....

Need a licence and/or permit, otherwise no.

We did used to shoot them at a friends property (licenced) many years ago, and use them for dog meat. They are not the hardest of game to hunt, I guess because they breed fairly quickly and there generally tends to be large numbers around - just have to look at the roadside of our major inland highways (lots of carcusses from truck strikes).

Not entirely true, you can shoot them under a destruction permit and also with yellow tags where you can use the meat etc!
