Anyone know if Ruger is making the America rimfire in stainless? And/or with a heavy barrel?

Thanks! Virgil B.

Looking on the Ruger website all I see is blue/synthetic.

Am I missing something?

Thanks! Virgil B.

Vbshooingrange: I can not answer your question but I do know that the local gun shop has sold all they got their hands on of the various blued models.
Two of my friends have bought them and are very happy with them.
I am guessing here, but I would think that someday the Ruger folks would bring out a stainless version.
I'll let you know if I see or hear something along these lines.

The standard blue barrel may not be a bull barrel, but it sure isn't a lightweight, either.

Thanks guys!

Have a Cooper 17 HMR that's AAA walnut, and too nice to take out in damp weather, And a Ruger blue/walnut 77/17.

Am thinking a Ruger in stainless might be a good option.
Either in 17 HMR or 22 magnum.

I've got a lam/stainless 77 in 22 Hornet, but it's a too loud to shoot from my front porch without ear protection.

Gotta have just the right rifle for guarding my bird feeders in damp weather! (true gun LOONIE here!)

I've not seen stainless offerings yet or heard of plans to produce one, but I have seen a heavier barreled version. A big distributor had Ruger do a run of American Rimfire Predators....heavier barrel, oversized bolt knob, rail on top, threaded 18" barrel and the same green stock they use on their centerfire Predators. Ruger did 500 LR's and 500 magnums for them. I bought a bunch for the shop and they're actually selling well. I kinda like them too...

Wow!

That's a good looking little rifle!

I'll take one with that stock and barrel configuration in stainless please!
Oh, and make it a 22 mag. (GRIN!)

For the price, you could buy a standard/compact .22LR/WMR and run it hard and put it up wet without too much worry. A high price now is $279, and we got a standard .22LR for $199 on Black Friday. You can sell it when the stainless model comes out. I think that .22 guns are as cheap as they ever are going to get due to the ammo shortage.

Damn bro I like that. Waiting for a .260 now. I'll never sell my American 22LR. Love it. Very very accurate!

We've had several of the American Ranch rifles with the tan stock. They go quick. Pretty handy little rifles. Guys are scooping the Blackouts up as soon as we get them.
