Had some on hand and decided to use them up in my new to me cva inline they work just fine but I had a real mess on the bottom side of my new scope right over the primer. Is this caused by the smaller primer or does that happen with 209's also? I'm new to inlines. wink

Sounds like you can use Cling Saran Wrap for the affected area of the scope.

Now there is a good idea, at least when doing a lot of shooten at the bench. I still need to find out if the 209's smudge it up as bad as the 157's.

You might try fitting a small o-ring in the bottom of the flash channel to create a seal.

oh no wonder the mess on the scope LOL. All open plunger guns will fry the finish on the bottom of your scope. Electrical tape, or a plastic home made cover will help.

Thanks for the tip bigblock 455, part of the mess may be the neverseaze I had put on the breach plug it of course builds up at the back threads when you put it in. I wonder if plain old graphite would do just as good to keep the breech plug from sticking?
