never in cages. but footholds rock.... I've caught and released a couple fox in cages while trapping raccoon. The red was a young of the year but the gray was an old female. Funny thing was after the first time you would think they wouldn't go in again but I caught them both 2 more times in different cages on the farm.

Weather has been good the last few nights and we are having good luck for the end of the season. We got three more tonight, we treed 5 total, 3 in the same tree but we left 2 of them for another night.

Yep. Richardsons......he was the only one I got all day that was pic-worthy ( open-casket type) the others were disarticulated...and I hate posting pics of that stuff. The rifle is a straight .223 we reamed out of a 221 fireball...hence it has a 1 in 14 twist ( Shrapnel told me that twist is skookum) and Im shooting Hornady 52 Amax...made for that twist. Don't know what that one escaped disarticulation...

Nice shooting.. I think Shrapnel has this figured out.. Keep up the good work.. got my first one this am, but with the 39a.. Kate grabbed it an ran off into the sage, and dropped it when she decided to chase a jackrabbit... My children are not restricted from the fun things in life.. Spring is wonderful!!

Yeah...Hornady even labels the boxes for 1 in 14 twists...surprised me too, but after seeing what they did on gophs with a slow twist, Im not thinking they are deer bullets, looking like varmint bullet fo' sho'..... I may have to try some in my deuce.....

Ive been shooting a bunch of 50 gr. Vmax in a lot of different rifles, including my deuces, which both have 1 in 14 twists...they love them! Im gonna try both them and the 52 Amax in heavy wind to see if I can tell a difference... We got wind up here too....

.222's seem to be forgotten, but it is a great caliber.. Have two and older Sako, and a 700 with a Douglas barrel.. Had a pal not given me about 500 trimmed cases for a .223, I would still be using the .222 for my gopher and p.dog shooting.. Use them some, but the .223 also gets lots of play also..

Sako 6mm PPC sporter. Most accurate cartridge in the world and this gun has never shot at a piece of paper. Who needs calipers and a quarter to check how good a gun shoots. This one hits everything it is aimed at...
