It all starts a week from right now! As usual, I will be working the Hunters Namibia Safaris booth (3035/36). 2014 was our busiest year in our 30 year history as Namibia's premier safari destination. We were thrilled to be named the DSC 2014 Outfitter of the Year at last year's convention and are looking forward to another great show this year.

I hope that you are attending the convention and that you will come by and say hello. Last year, several Campfire members dropped by and I'm hoping to see even more next week. See you there!

I'll stop by and might pick up a good scope, but I'll pass on that "proper er..rifle" smile

Planning on getting by there to meet you as well Biebs. Alex is a good guy to deal with as well. I also go over there lusting after the Meopta scopes.

Meopta products are an under-appreciated brand. In tests on binos, scopes, and spotters, they rank right up there with the best.

Could not agree more. My Meoptas easily compare to my Swaro Z-6s. Best scope value on the market today.

I agree, and it's also the best spotting scope and binocular value as well.

Blaser owns Rigby. And Mauser. And Sauer.

I'll be there Friday afternoon/Saturday. A bunch of us 24HCF denizens are getting together for lunch Saturday at the show, meeting at the entrance to the Custom Gunsmiths Guild area at 12 noon.

Sigh..............unfortunately wife and I had to cancel our trip to DSC...son had appendectomy last Saturday and SWMBO declared she was not leaving town for any reason until he was fully recovered...
even though by his accounts he is a "grown ass man"....right...
next year...y'all have fun for me.

I went today, caught up with DocRocket, Jorge, JGRaider, and met huntsonora. Fun show. Tough to see it all in a day. Got a book autographed by Craig Bodington, and ogled lots of wonderful rifles. smile

I need a Dakota Mini-Sharps in .38-55. Maybe a double square bridge Mauser .416, too. smile

I wore my Shiloh Sharps t-shirt today, which was a real attention-getter. That started a conversation with Ralf Martini, who invited me to handle one of his wonderful rifles. Reckon I need one of them, too. smirk

This year's DSC convention was a huge success. I spoke with several DSC past presidents and all were in agreement that we had the largest Thursday crowd in the show's history and Saturday was probably a record also.

The company I represent, Hunters Namibia Safaris, had a record show and a record day on Saturday. Our booth was rocking all four days. Needless to say, it was great fun.

I can't say enough about the Dallas Safari Club and the show that they put on. Everything was first class. Many thanks to the officers, board of directors and, especially, the DSC volunteers.

I know how much I enjoy going as a consumer, and that's a whole lot. It is very good to know how things are viewed from the vendor's perspective as well. DSC is a great organization for sure.

I went for 1.5 days. It was awesome as usual.
Have several safari outfitters preparing a trip for me and a friend.
