Yeah, I needs me a M1894 Winchester in 38-55... yeah, I'd like one as well. I carried the .45-90 to the deer blind one day this past season, looked at a small buck, looked down at the 450gr bullets, and decided some things are just silly even if they are feasible.  I've come close to buying one of the 1980's Winchester Commemoratives in .38-55. They can be found in decent used condition and cost a heck of a lot less than pre-WWII lever guns. Nice cartridge in a single shot, too.

Oh Ya! Sweet! the 1A handles real nice, not very heavy and the lack of a magazine makes them compact, even with a 22" barrel. Congrats!

Gonna try and shoot it tomorrow but I'll have to climb through 3 feet of snow at the range to set my target up
Maybe not 20-30 mph wind tomorrow temps dropping to below zero
