Thanks for the info, and I'm in.
Had to wait about 6-7 years before I got my any elk license last year. Got a biggest ever 6x6 last year and am hoping for a miracle for 2015.

Probably zero chance for a bull tag for me, be happy to draw a cow tag. I put my 12yr old nephew in for an any elk and a cow tag, would be a great trip if he gets drawn. At least with the elk tag the waiting time for results is not so long!

From what I've seen, it's a cluster. I had a hard time with info on the antelope draw. Thanks though.

It is broken down into 2 sections, random draw and preference point draw. Then its broken down into regular and special draw. The random draw is what all the unsuccessful applications go into after the preference point draw, everyone is on an even field in this one. There are very few permits allotted to this so the odds are extremely long but somebody gets the permits. In the preference point draws, both regular and special the tags are allocated to those with the most points first. The special draw gives a better chance at a tag but at a premium in price.
