I've just got one so far, and Nash now has two... They sure are fun, and a nice payday.... cool However I heard they're down right now, but hopefully will be going back up towards the end of Feb.

My squirrel and coon dog. A Black Mouth Cur.
Figured I would add a new species to the dead critter list.

Beautiful dog..!!! Had a chance one time to get a beautiful little cur dog from a friend.. He offered me the pup free if I wanted it, (he was getting $500. for them 20 years ago), foolishly I did not take it.. Living in the plains, I didn't think I would have much to hunt with it.. Big mistake.. Thanks for the show..

40 degrees today so the fianc decided she would come help set some snares and some bobcat sets. Did more slippin and sliding in the gumbo than we did setting snares and traps but it was still a fun day. Hopefully will have a few furs waiting for us in a couple days. She had to bring along her fierce trapline dog. If only I could get her to skin them I'd be set.

I went out and gave'em heck today. Pretty good action for being above ave. temps. 2nd quad of the year for me. These came 1, 2, 1 with a couple minutes between. Had action on 4 stands out of 8 stands. Had to carry the quad about 600 yards. Too old for that much work in a day.

I would trade some coyotes just to have a chance at a cat like those above. Been a long time since I even called in a cat, and I wasn't the shooter when I did..

I'm using the old 30 gr. Berger bullet. Got enough for the rest of this year and maybe all of next year, depending. Then I'll probably get some of Chan's for the future.

I heard Chan quit making bullets because he couldn't get the jackets or did he start again?

Never fails for me, make a good bobcat set and sure enough catch a badger. Guess I got a lot of eye appeal at the set now.

Had another one in the snares last night. Decided to bring him back to the nice warm shop to skin. How's this for a good place to hang one while your skinning it?

Been remodeling a house and that has taken up all my hunting season, but did get out with dad (ole_270) for his birthday Sunday. Had never hunted this property before, even though in high school and college I had worked for the landowner for 10+ years.

First stand, 2 minutes after he quit blowing on the call one came off a neighboring property at a dead run. One bark, no stop, still coming as hard as he can. Two barks, stopped at 30 yards.

He got one the weekend before with my brother in law but didn't snap a picture. Lots of dry stands, and then 2 in a row.
