Yesterday was an almost perfect morning. AL rut kicking in, up the mountain well before daylight, light dusting of snow, leaves so loud he could be heard long before I could see him. Only downside was how long the trek/climb in was vs how short the hunt turned out to be. Still no sign of the rut down south. Come on up late on Thurs 1/29 and hunt that Friday and Saturday with me if you've got time. Now you killed a buck are you coming to slay some pork in TX? Can't do it this year. I was probably only going to stop by for a visit in TN this year, but TX is an all or nothing so I gotta go nothing this year. I am sorry I'm going to miss it and all the good folks. Thanks guys.

My worst season ever ended at 06:45 opening morning. I had 9 days scheduled.
Now the perfect season always ends on the last day.

Yeah, the NE corner is full of mountains. End of the appalachian mountains. Acutally they run down to Birmingham but get lower the further south in the state they go. They aren't super high, but are plenty rough.
