Not only could I not watch the State of you Union, my blood started to boil just reading what he was saying. I have never hated a politician like I do Obama. Pelosi, Boxer Fienstien, they are just emotional dingbats, but Obama? That guy is a lying, racist, community organizer and nothing more. How can this guy have a 50% approval?

WASHINGTON (AP) -- President Barack Obama is challenging Republicans to raise the federal minimum wage, which is now $7.25 an hour. And he's laying down a dare to anyone in Congress who refuses to raise the minimum wage.

Obama says that if lawmakers truly believe they can work full time and support a family of four on less than $15,000 a year, then they should try it. The salary of most senators and House members is $174,000.

Obama has proposed raising the minimum wage to $10.10. It was pegged at $7.25 in 2009.

He made his comments in his State of the Union address












Here's a hint, if you are making $7.25 an hour don't have a couple of frigging kids to take care of.

all the good blue collar jobs are regulated out of existence by EPA and other Fed agencies.

the growth in employment has largely come from the box stores and service industries.

typically lower paying jobs.

so Obama is gonna force by law those folks that own those businesses to pay a higher wage.

and then if he's successful in doing so, we'll see some businesses close, many businesses cut down on staff and many businesses invest in robotics that are making inroads anyway.

now we'll be able to watch UE numbers rise, but it will be after his term is over.

HELL no, I didn't watch a second of it. Until he passes his millionth Executive Order stating otherwise, I'm still free to do what I want with my time. I wish I'd scrubbed the ring in the toilet during his "speech" just so I could brag that I had.

I just discovered The Mentalist, and am working my way through the series. A light-hearted show w/ unrealistically hot female detectives.
