British movie with superb acting. Good story about Turing who is credited with building the 'Turing machine', predecessor to the computers we are using.

It was used in breaking the Enigma code.

Turing had sexual identity issues and ultimately was sentenced to either jail/prison or chemical castration and chose the latter and subsequently committed suicide.

Good movie and worth a view.

Yes I thought it was one of the best I have seen in quite some time.

I hated math and science. My college required either one semester of calculus, or computer science. I took the later. Did poorly in the class in all but on section...the Turing Machine, not actually a machine, a binary system for processing algorithms.

Anyway, is decoding machine was one of the biggest impacts of the war, and hardly anybody knows who he is.
