Cool video and congrats to the gentleman.
He mentioned in the article how they were "calm and relaxed, but on guard". As I watched, I thought they were pretty dang nervous and looked like they might bolt at any second. He waited a lot longer to shoot than I would have.

That guy knew exactly how to hunt them. Kudos to him.

One of the best videos I have seen. No loud roc'roll music, no big bs hype. just a good ol boy having o great hunt.

You are exactly right. Loud music and the good old boy babbling I can do without. The quality of the filming is outstanding. The slow motion is awesome.

Great video and well done by the host.
We have over a 1,300 wolves here in Idaho and since they opened up the season on them the wolves have been educated quickly. Those guys that do get them are usually shooting really long distances (500-800 yards) and hiking like crazy to find them.
Here in Idaho a nonresident big game hunting license costs $154.75 with a nonresident wolf tag going for $31.75 for a total of $186.50 for a nonresident to bag a wolf in Idaho. You may take up to 5 wolves while hunting with each wolf requiring a tag. Hot spots are in the SunValley and McCall resort area mountains. Hunting is very demanding physically but doable. Come hunt wolves in Idaho and save an elk.............and a deer, and a bighorn sheep, and a mt. goat and ...................

My thoughts exactly. They seemed very twitchy, and I'd have been too excited to wait long enough to Quigley a pair like that. Looked like fun. A tracked ATV, hot coffee, and two nice woofs by 9:30am...............he made it look easy.
