I have the opportunity to trade for a older 11-87 12 gauge that has a poly-choke. If I keep the choke set to IC would it be okay to shoot steel out of? Thanks

Poly choke is still in business and they say steel shot is acceptable. Here is the link:

Additionally, they have a 'poly choke II' which screws into the threads of shotguns with screw in chokes. Since the 11-87 was introduced in 1987, a time when most shot guns already had screw in chokes, could the barrel be threaded and have a poly choke II installed in it? Just a thought.
