A friend has a post-64 Winchester Model 94 given to him by his dad in the late 60's that is pretty beat. It is a standard 20" carbine in 30-30. His grandpa planted some black walnut on a tree farm they have owned for several generations in Oregon and he now has a pretty nice dry blank, cut by his dad, that he would like to turn into a stock for the rifle. This is pure nostalgia, but knowing, his dad and hearing stories of his grandpa, both of whom have long passed, I can see why he wants something to remember them by.
Question for the forum. Who do I go to who can duplicate a stock out of this blank? I can do the final fit and finish but lack the time and equipment for the rough shaping.
