I just purchased 1000 rounds of CCI Mini-Mag HP's. I was getting low on CCI HP's and this is the round my Kimber loves the best.

Some stores still have nothing; others have some at 2 1/2 - 3X what it was before the idiocy. Nobody has the 500+ boxes of Federal, Winchester, or Remington.

Same store I visited at lunch had Federal Auto-match at the seemingly standard $20/box. There was a two box limit so I stuck with the AE's ... might try the Fed's after work and get two boxes of those too. Again, I don't know why other than its there, I have 3-4 older boxes at home ($13 per box pre-SH).

And it's going to stay that way as long as people keep buying .22lr because you know "it was there".

hell, I only netted 200 rounds as I gave away 800 to a local kid last night so his pop could take him shooting. I have like 5k Blazer and they do shoot well, found 40gr AE's and curious how they shoot ...the 36gr AE's aren't bad .... We'll have to wait and see. Most likely I'll end up giving away these AE's too and never shoot'em.

But as I find ammo more and more, I'll be less likely to "help" out those who have none. wink

Wow, a thousand rounds of Mini Mags actually left Lewiston and ended up in Tennessee --
Ya think MAYBE they actually were transported through Montana, like on Highway 12 and some air molecules that passed through the trailer vents are still in the Treasure State and I'll smell some?

All CCI would tell me is, they've doubled production.

Widener has all the CCI Rimfire in stock, from Rimfire Rat Shot, Target, Shorts and LR HP's and Solid's.

My LGS charges accordingly based on what his distributor charges him. He doesn't "jack up" prices to stay current with what other shops might be asking.

Using Auto Match (325 rounds per box) as an example, bought a box several months ago when he had some, for (IIRC) $19 a box. I'd seen it going for much more at other shops. One shop wanted almost $30 back then, which is about what CDNN wants now?

Last week I stopped by my favorite place. He had gotten some AM in and I bought two boxes for $35 total, including tax. Which is actually a bit less than AM was selling for at Walmart over two years ago (think it was $18.95 then).

So that's how I tend to do things these days. If I luck into something I want at a decent price, I buy it. If they're still demanding inflated prices, it stays where found.

There was a time when I went thru four or five boxes of Auto Match each winter. Can do that now, at least this year.

I am seeing more and more CCI on shelves lately. I bought 100 rounds of Stinger a month or so ago. Academy Sports sells stuff at a reasonable price and has been improving their in stock position slowly over the past few months.. A few LGS are still doing gun show grade profiteering.

I did pick up 7 more boxes of blazer of the lot number that shoots really good out of the 4 lot numbers from the 6 original boxes I had on hand so I got a brick of that total
got 700 cci sgb on hand
slumlord has a brick of it also
same lot number
got 300 aguilar rifle match
250 40 gr minimag
175 blazer of 3 different lot numbers
130 rws target rifle
35 norma match 22
and for chits and giggles got a box of cci velocitor

sold off my other savage mark2 that was black and black with a bull barrel
and got another 2 weeks ago with green stock and some type of ceracoated or duracoated bull barrel that is fluted

have put 205 rounds thru it so far
so that barrel is nowhere shot in yet or hitting its stride accuracy wise

funny thing is
it hates rws and norma 1 inch plus scattered groups
which really shocked me
but shoots aguilar rifle match excellent 1/2"
shoots the sgb into sub 1/2" group
shoots that bo3v58 blazer lot number into sub 1/2"group
shoots minimag into 5/8th-3/4ths groups

barrel harmonics I geuss
different gun
different ammo likes

this rifle seems to like fast cci ammo
which I have no problem with whatsoever
wanna see how that velocitor shoots on Thursday
supposed to be in mid to upper 70s
good low temp/humidity for august to get out and shoot some 10 shot groups at 50yds off the bench

all the cci 1235 fps stuff(sgb, blazer, minimag) is all hitting within 3/8ths of each other, the rifle is zeroed with sgb

kinda curious about the velocitor in relation to these

the aguilar rifle match hits about 5/8ths low
but is windage correct

That was the sticker on the shelf where it was sitting. I didn't look closely as I wasn't interested so the sticker may have been for something else.

I haven't fired a Golder bullet in decades, but would have had to to pick those up for my handguns.
