What calibers were offered in the 336? I know several, but was just wandering if there were more.

Looks like you have it pretty much covered unless you count the 308 XLR, 338 XLR etc that are just a 336 called something different.

They made one .307win. I think it's Wayne Van Zwoll who owns it, I know it's one of the more well known gun writers.

The 38-55 exists. I bought one. The 356 does too. I don't remember the letters but there are two that follower the 336. Like 336er or 336xx. Something like that. They are hens teeth rifles and people charge accordingly.

Also the 250 savage, four test guns were built. Jim Carmichel of "Outdoor life" did an article on the Marlin 336 250 savage. Sadly the gun never went into production.

They called it a 444, but it is the same gun. The 1895 now in production, is basically a 336 with an oversized ejection port.

Ok, we need to include the 45-70 if we are including the Model 1895, I thought the OP was asking what calibers were offered in the Model 336 only.........Hb
