Ok I've been f'ing with this Ruger all morning Just not getting consistent groups. I shimmed it and floated the barrel,it was so tight on one side you couldn't get a [bleep] hair in between the barrel and forend Loaded up some more rounds and heading back to the range Fingers crossed I have this gunsmithing crap figured out If not Patrick will fix it right

Right it's hard to heat the barrel it 14 degrees I have frozen snot on my face! I have things worked out 125 Partitions are out 130 gr Accubonds are in! Dat will work.  The 130's are going a mite faster than factory? I would also get a case length gauge and see how much headspace is increasing when the they fire. Sometimes they'll be a little roomy in the chamber, and partial resizing to control headspace will help. Also see how much neck clearance is.

I haven't used them, but they might work. I use this set from Hornady: http://www.midwayusa.com/product/47...set-with-comparator?cm_vc=ProductFindingYou need a dial or digital caliper to work with it. It lets you measure the shoulder position when resizing the case.
