Might have been posted. I thought it was educational.

That is an interesting read. The ideology of ISIS is so fanatical, and archaic it enjoys no support from any country. I feel it's demise is inevitable. The parallels with the phycology of fascism makes sense.

Lets hope their demise comes while there are still Christians alive in that part of the world.

Sounds like they might be hamstringed by their own religious rules. Maybe someone should meet them on those desert plains and annihilate them. I just don't think it should be Americans.

I posted that a few days ago, but it bears posting again.

Also interesting is this article where Wood describes some of the responses. Especially the last one he writes about.

Maybe not officially, but it enjoys much support from many of the iman's in the ME and in many other parts of the world, including the US. That translates into support in thousands, or even millions, of muslims of fighting age all around the world. It's a flame that must be extinguished and done quickly. That will only happen through extreme prejudice and with a strong coalition, which we don't and won't have.

Then it won't be anyone, and you and I can meet them in our backyards.

Oh, don't be so sure about that RickyD. They are spoiling for a fight and I'm betting they get one. Just whom shall it be?

Islam has never been hamstrung by religious rules before, unless love and mercy are involved. If the koran is silent or an impediment, there are hadiths that can be construed to satisfy their carnality. This is what the imans are specialists in, and very good at it.

But that aside, how might they be hamstrung?

It just occurred to me, though not based on a religious ideology, what ISIS reminds me of. Pol Pot and the Khmer Rouge. I just saw on the news tonight not only do these fanactics kill, touture and enslave people. They also are destroying historical artifacts, such as the artifacts in the museum in Mosel. History will judge them in the same light as the Nazis and Khmer Rouge. They are a scourge on humanity.
