stockys has the Bell & Carlson on sale right now for 269 in stock and id like to get one for my Tikka T3 in 6.5X55 but.. the reason the tupperware dosent fit me right now is because I'm only 5'-4" and have short arms.
so can i remove about an inch of stock myself to bring the LOP down to about 12 5/8 with the limbsaver. Ive never modified the LOP on a synthetic stock. Im afraid if I take off that much ill be into the fill and have nothing to drill into for the pad.

You don't have to drill into the pad. Just epoxy it on.

I've done this to a couple of Remington tupperware stocks. Cut to the length you need then wittle a 1/4-3/8" thick piece of hard wood so it will slip into the hollow of the butt, just below the cut edge. Rough up the inside surface and epoxy the block of wood in flush or just below. When cured, mark the hole locations through the pad then drill undersize pilot holes. Screw the pad on and you are done. You could also glue the pad on but I feel this little bit of extra work makes for a more secure system.

Have also foamed stock prior to cutting. Drilled 1/2" holes to center pad screws and epoxied dowel in to hold screws. Quiets stock also.
