Does anyone have access to a recent Barnes manual that would have loads for the 270 Win, 110gr TSX (or TTSX), and IMR4350? thanks!!

Go online to Barnes Bullets Load Data. Click on .277 and then .270. Print it out and you've got it.

Barnes #4 manual

110gr TSX IMR4350 Min 57.5 @ 3287 Max 60.5 @ 3460

Thanks, TL!

Thanks also to you DF. But I had also looked there. But they only list Hunter and H4350, not IMR4350.

It runs so close to a 7RM shooting 120 TTSX @ 3,500 that only your barber would know the difference.

I do not, but did buy an FN model 70 in 270 for a donor project, screwed up and shot the donor, as we've all read/heard here "DO NOT SHOOT THE DONOR!"

I worked up a load with RL-17 that ran 3550 fps from the 24" barrel and was dumbfounded to see it shoot 1/2" groups, was one of the hardest things I ever had to do when the time came to tear that rifle down for the original build idea.

I have that load data out in my reloading shop if you want it, give me a holla.

Whew... shocked

For a moment there, gunner, it sounded like you were coming out of the closet, brandishing a .270... grin

Glad you rescued that gun, converting it to a suitable round. You were tempted by 1/2" groups, but overcame... smile

LOL, I was mainly astounded with the velocity, THEN the accuracy, went ahead with the build so I could push a 25 cal 100 gr TTSX at the same 3550 fps [25-06 AI] using near 10 grs more RL-22 than I did RL-17 in the 270. crazy

Oh, and now I get to fire-form cases too. cry grin

You'll need a .223AI to be "Fire cool" which will give you more fire forming practice.

Of course, an FX-3 6x42 with M1 in Talley LW rings to round out the package... laugh

Yep it was my go to load with H4350 or Hunter when I needed to reach for a lead free load when trapped in California. It was amazingly effective when I started it at about 3375-3400fps and I have still never recovered one from even the biggest pigs. In various wet newspaper etc test it offered deeper penetration than a 150 partition.

It matched up nice with the 110 Vmax, ate the same powder loads and gave interchangeable points of impact to over 500 yards. Got ugly in the wind after that but was a lazer at reasonable distances. If I was not looking at longer shoots in ridiculous wind conditions out here I would still be running it.

Hunt hard, kill clean, waste nothing and offer no apologies.
