A lot of truth to that they ALL go around with their hand out and spend too much time raising funds. What ever happen to that push a few years ago for campaign finance reform?

A young Milwaukee county executive with big dreams responded to a letter from a Jewish constituent.

Scott Walker, now Wisconsin’s governor, signed off, “Thank you again and Molotov.”

We presume what Walker was going for was the Hebrew phrase “mazel tov,” which Jewish people (and the Black Eyed Peas) use when congratulating others on momentous occasions. Molotov, on the other hand, is usually coupled with “cocktail,” and is an improvised explosive, which is probably not what Walker wished upon the letter recipient.

Like an American struggling to speak the language in a foreign country, Walker certainly deserves some credit for trying. Hebrew is hard.

There is a secret world that most of us know nothing about and think little of if we do. No, it isn't anything hugely earthshaking or tinfoil type stuff. It is, if anything an open conspiracy all across the country and probably most other countries as well. It is simply this: Every candidate for public office of any import whatsoever, has to kiss the ass/ring of at least one powerbroker.

It is a world that I never even dreamed existed until I got a little wiser in the ways of the world. For instance, a local judge retired in the middle of his term. Well, the governor appoints the new guy to fill the term. So, the three candidates for the job had to trek down and kiss some ass. No, not to the governor, but to the Republican power broker a hundred miles away who would then tell the governor which one to appoint. So, they went and talked where they were quizzed on things like why they had or had not over the years donated money to the Republican party and other weighty and important matters. Eventually, one came out on top and the guv appointed the one he was told to appoint and things move on as always. He is a nice guy, and will probably do fine, but his appointment had little to do with his qualifications.
